Nefesh maintains, Nefesh sustains,
Ruach animates,
And Neshama dictates.
Nefesh is the dark light, hot but stark,
Ruach is the white light, contrasting the dark.
Neshama can barely be perceived
Yet, only through it the others can be retrieved
But it takes all three, together, to construct a flame!
When Avraham entered the Promised Land
God laid upon him His holy hand,
And blessed him with Nefesh…

When Avraham journeyed to the South,
He learned to overcome his mouth.
God blessed him with Ruach…
When through Yitschak, Avraham grasped the Lord
His Nefesh and Ruach united and soared,
God blessed him with Neshama…
When Avraham overthrew the idols
He remained without rivals.
Only then, could Avraham master the Land
Only then, did Avraham become God’s right hand!
