First Zohar - 13 The Greatest Feast

One day, in great sadness, Rabbi Yitschak came to Rabbi Yehuda’s door.
Rabbi Yehuda came out and asked what he was so sad for?
Rabbi Yitschak had come to ask for three favors:
“First, whenever you quote my teachings, please mention me.
Then, please teach my son the Torah. That is secondly.
Finally, every seventh day, please visit my grave and pray.”
“But why, my dearest friend, do you think you will soon die, I say?!”
“I have seen my shadow high upon the wall:
The angel of death must be approaching with his call…”
“Of course I will do as you request.
But save me a place by your side, my friend, my very best!”
Then Rabbi Yitschak passed, and it is known what then evolved.
His body was buried, and his soul waited to be absolved.
During seven days, his soul paced back and forth,
not only from grave to home, but east to west and south to north,
Until a heavenly herald descended to proclaim
That the accusing angels had found no blame.
Rabbi Yitschak then ascended, welcomed by his previous generations
Who had prepared in his honor the greatest celebrations.
They guided him to the realm of delight,
Where he then witnessed the Lord, in all His might,
Sit upon His throne.
Rabbi Yitschak saw God’s face and how it shone
He fell upon the ground and waited,
Waiting to be berated,
But the Lord said: “It is not my desire to preach.
I have called you here, ME to teach!”
Your mercy, Lord, is great UNTO the Heavens!
Your mercy, Lord, is great ABOVE the Heavens!
