From the recording The Second Zohar
Lyrics
8. The Tree of Life
© Issachar Tal van Kekem
There is a tree, a hidden tree, a distant tree
A tree one cannot climb, or flee
There is a tree, an inverted tree, with its root at the top
A tree that carries no fruit, a field without a crop
Then there’s man, who cannot be free, who cannot see
Because he is incomplete without his better half
He feels the emperor, because he carries a staff
But it is the woman, who rules de facto,
Who performs in concreto, instead of in abstracto
Chorus:
Man and woman were created as a unity
Not to be separated with impunity
As the sun must forever be with the moon
Midnight and noon, to intimately commune
Creator apart from Creation
Man removed, far removed from God
Of priests a Holy Nation
Not to grovel but to laud
Separated and distant
But searching and persistent
For unity IS existent!
Chorus:
