Lyrics
Through Fire
© Issachar Tal van Kekem
There is a fire on the altar, rabbi Chiyah says,
That must always burn.
It is the fire of Yitschak and Abraham,
And it must to be fed by you and me, in turn
There are roads, flat and straight
That invade and conquer, RAPE, the land
But love does not need to haste
And love does not feed on waste
Love gently follows the contours
Love adapts to its fate
Willingly turns through every bend
Love, gently, follows the land…
Not every knife needs to be razor-sharp
Do not count the strings on an angel’s harp
Not every crime warrants a penalty
Sometimes pain or death are destiny
Heaven is whence we came,
Hell invented by a feudal lord
Do not fear the flame
Do not fear the sword
We only have to fear the eternal Lord
We only have to fear the judgment of the eternal Lord
