God saw the Earth, and behold, it was corrupt
For all of mankind had corrupted its way
Failed to observe the Commandments, ignored the Torah,
And so the Shechinàh could no longer stay

A woman rendered impure, withdraws from her husband,
And so Earth too shivered and hid its face
It was defiled, and it riled, trembling in its place
And it begged its Creator to end it in a swift pace
But the Angel of God first offered an embrace
And only then he commenced his chase

David saw the Angel of God, coming from Heaven,
After having closed all of the Seven,
Descending with a drawn sword
Extended over the City of Jerusalem
For He had seen heathens in His court
And in His House a horrible mayhem

The Lord our God has done what He devised
He has executed His utterance from days of old!
The Lord our God has been agonized
Mankind had turned His burning heart ice-cold
The Lord our God has done what He apprehended
Mankind had brazenly transgressed and painfully offended
The Sons of Adam had left Him no choice
And as they drown, the Heavenly Presences rejoice…

The Holy One could not forgive the evil done to His bride
May this be remembered in all lands, far and wide:
Omnipresent are His hands, there is nowhere to hide
Wherever the breach, His sword will reach
