Minors often assume, that Yud Hey Vav Hey is just another name
And that Elohim and Adonai are the same
Explain to them, yes: teach them, that Yud Hey Vav Hey symbolizes compassion,
While Elohim stands in judgment, and Adonai executes, in ruthless fashion…

Chorus:
Oh Lord, please, our sinfulness eradicate!
And not our kin…
Oh Lord, please, the harsh judgment mitigate!
Be our linchpin…
We are forever in need of Your support:
We will derail if left to our own accord!

At the Flood, Yud Hey Vav Hey sat, in grief, and alone
Elohim had judged and condemned
Adonai peeled all skin and crushed all bone
Only gloom and despair barely shone
All light and love absorbed into His dark throne…

Chorus:

At the Flood, Noach and his companions
Were judged nor executed
For they were hidden from Elohim
And unknown to Adonai
Yud Hey Vav Hey was their shield

Chorus:
