11. Secret Places

If a man hides in secret places, does he assume I do not see?
If sinners quickly clean their faces, do they think they will go free?
The sinners may hide in utter darkness, and think they are nowhere
The sinners may sin in utter starkness, but I am even there
The sinners may sin in total silence, but I hear their hearts
The sinners may ride the fastest horses, they will not escape my darts
Israel was encamped, tribe by tribe, in their multitude
Yet every unit was guaranteed its solitude
Tent averted eyes from tent
No intrusion ever meant
Sublimity, even in the closest proximity
Husband and wife enjoyed absolute anonymity
The punishment of the wicked is six months in water
And six months in fire
So when Noach saw the Angel of Death
He closed and shut the Ark for twelve months
But there was only the water of the flood
And indeed, all was covered in water
But there was cold water from above and beyond
And there was boiling water from below, from the hellish pond
Woe deserved by the wicked!
The Shechinah locked inside the Ark
And lifted and raised above the Earth
Then Judgment alone could dominate
All the wicked and their seconds to obliterate
