God brought Heavenly wisdom… down to Earth
Mankind was corrupted by it, and clenched its fist
And brazenly… rose… to resist

God gave wisdom… wisdom to Adàm
God revealed to him… the levels of reality:
The Heavenly, the Worldly, and the Demonic…
But Adàm clung to the evil impulse, Lilith,
Until God muted the springs

God gave wisdom… wisdom to Noach
Then Noach drank of the wine
And exposed himself…

God gave wisdom… wisdom to Avraham
Who then begot Ishmael, a stain on his family
His son Yitzchak begot Esav, who was a beast
The other brother Ya’akov married two sisters…

God gave wisdom… wisdom to Moshè
Who lost himself to anger
And struck the rock

d gave wisdom… wisdom to Shlomò
Who kept a thousand concubines
Who led his lustful heart astray
Who waged wars of greed
And in his later days, turned to other gods

God gave wisdom… but men only grasped fragments
That they applied to agonizing God.
In the Times to Come, God will endow mankind
With wisdom it will find
Easier to grasp and to appropriately apply
And because then, it will observe His laws, mankind… will… no longer… die…
