On Rosh ha Shanàh, when painful judgment looms over mankind,
Satàn rises before the Throne, poised to accuse
My Nation then blows the Shofàr, imploring to arouse mercy
With a sound blended of Air, Water and Fire.
The atoning and lamenting sound prevents all controversy
It confuses Satàn and melts his ire

Harmonize Earth and Heaven: the mesmerizing tone of parental LOVE!

Sins still remains sin, and guilt is not forgotten
Yet, forgiveness is lawfully begotten:
The Accuser stands confounded, but the case is not dismissed:
Both sin and prospective punishment still exist,
Not erased but delayed,
Until, perhaps next year, the Judge will be swayed…
