Every trial, every tribulation, is meant to be a revelation

After these things, it came to pass
That God tested Avrahàm.
He called out for Avrahàm,
Who willingly replied:
“You are my King, oh Lord!”

Every trial, every tribulation is meant to be a revelation

Why do we not say
That God tested Yitschàk?
After all, Yitschàk was an adult:
Thirty-seven years old, himself responsible for his soul?
If Yitschàk had refused to cooperate
Avrahàm could not have obeyed our Lord…

Every trial, every tribulation is meant to be a revelation
Every trial is an elevation!

It WAS a test of Avrahàm, and his perfection:
Avrahàm was good at compassion,
But he never had to judge,
Had never executed judgment
Had never harmed, had never killed.

Every trial, every tribulation is meant to be a revelation
Every trial is an elevation
Every trial is a search for truth and trust.

Avrahàm had to reach balance
To combine his love with rigor
Only then he became the Image of God…

Every trial, every tribulation is meant to be a revelation
Every trial is an elevation
Every trial is a search for truth and trust
Avrahàm trusted God’s command was a truth!

Avrahàm passed the test!
Avrahàm was perfected!
May all of us grow to be like Avrahàm!
